Cascading habit with red-orange flowers in April.  One of the NORTH TISBURY HYBRIDS from Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. Beginning in the 1960's, this group was created from seed and cuttings sent from Japan. Many show R.nakaharai heritage with their low-mounding, spreading habit and cold hardiness (Down to -5 deg F).
