This hybrid has pink buds opening to white flowers in April, but wait…the best characteristic happens after the bloom.  The new growth comes out almost white!  A soft fuzzy dusting covers all of the new stems and leaves and is called 'tomentum'..  It is thought that perhaps this substance works as a natural insect proofing.  It stays that way for over a month, adding a silver-white color and texture most unusual.  A must for the foliage garden and foliage enthusiast.
