Viscosum

R. viscosum, commonly known as swamp azalea, is native to the east coast of the the USA, and is very fragrant. The long tubular white flowers have an amazing fragrance similar to Jasmine, and cover this deciduous azalea in mid summer. This plant can grow in wet or boggy places, so is useful to those without good drainage. Our cultivar of R. viscosum is a fairly fast grower, and will be 5-6 ft in 10 years. The fall colors are attractive shades of yellow, orange and purple.
