This hybrid between the Western Azalea R. occidentale and the rhododendron species R. ponticum has very unique foliage, being thin and long. The foliage texture sets it apart form all Azaleas or Rhododendrons. The flowers are a nice pink in large full trusses. The plant will be 5 ft. tall and 6 ft. wide in 10 years, and blooms in May.
