Sierra Sunset

Sierra Sunset

Red, yellow, orange and cream colors blend like a sunset over the mountains on this new hybrid by the late Jack Lofthouse.  The foliage is dark-green and lustrous on a dense full shrub.  I saw this plant all over New Zealand where it is popular.  The multi-color flowers are luminous. Hardy to zone 7.

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons

·        Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.

·        Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
