Rosy Teacups Dogwood

Rosy Teacups Dogwood

This new and exciting dogwood from the extensive breeding program of Dr. Elwin Orton is one result of over 40 years of work. This new cultivar, a result of using the rubra form of Cornus kousa, has resistance to insect and disease problems that has been a problem with Cornus florida, so makes a much better tree.  'Rosy Teacups' will be 20 ft tall and the same wide in 10 years, and will produce flowers early in its life. The flowers, in compact dense heads, almost completely cover the tree, and are a stunning rich-pink color for weeks. The breeder, Dr. Orton has received over 20 awards from garden clubs, horticultural groups, nurseries, plant breeding societies, and landscaping associations for his outstanding work.
