The Yellow One

The Yellow One

What a yellow color! When this new hybrid by the Thompson Nursery in Oregon blooms, I am stopped in my tracks. The yellow color is intense. This name is just a placeholder until we have a really good name from the hybridizer, Roy Thompson. The plant grows to be 3 ft tall and 4 ft wide in 10 years. The flowers come out in late April. The foliage is somewhat rounded and a nice medium green. The parentage is R. 'Nancy Evans' x (R. haematodes x R. 'Choremia') Hardy to zone 7.
