R. 'Showboat'

Hybridized by Dr. Phetteplace of Leaburg, Oregon in the 1960's. The R. degronianum ssp. yakushimanum parentage makes this one stay compact and of smaller stature. The plant in the photo is in our garden and is 30 years old. It flowers reliably with lots of flowers every year. The plant will grow to 4-5 ft tall in 10 years. Great for the moonscape garden where all flowers are pure white.
