R. 'Persian Daybreak'

R. 'Persian Daybreak'

A new rhododendron hybrid by Don Wallace, owner of Singing Tree Gardens was found in an old growing field of un-named hybrids. The plant has lost its label, but we believe it has the hybrid 'Paprika Spiced' in its parantage.  The foliage is a medium apple green, and covers the plant holding for 2 years. Blooming in late May, it is valuable for extending the bloom in the garden. Medium yellow flowers with the characteristic 'Paprika Spiced' spots decorate the upper lobe. Hardy to zone 7.
