R. occidentale 'Frilly Star'

R. occidentale 'Frilly Star'

Another of the Smith-Mossman discoveries found near Crescent City, CA. This one has colorful flowers that have very frilly edges. The fragrance will be heavy like all of the R. occidentale, and the shrub will grow fairly large. There were many numbered selections  they found, and if they received a name, then we can assume that it was one of the best forms.  Deciduous.
