R. 'Leo' x R. 'Rubicon'

I am not sure where this hybrid came from, but perhaps from the Thompson Nursery. The foliage is much like 'Rubicon' foliage, but wider and more rounded, and just as shiny. The trusses are a bit smaller, but a richer, darker red. We think it is worth growing, and have even used the pollen in some crosses. This plant will grow to 5 ft tall x 6 ft wide in 10 years. Hardy to zone 7.
