Jim's Black Heart
Jim's Black Heart
This new and spectacular rhododendron comes to us from Oregon, and will rival any of the dark red rhododendrons currently registered. The flowers are displayed in full ball trusses of 25 flowers, and are a very dark shade of red that catches the eye from some distance! The blooms appear in mid April on a shrub that grows to be 6 ft tall in 10 years, and about the same wide. Hardy to 10 deg F.
Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons
· Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.
· Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
