R. 'Great Balls of Fire'

R. 'Great Balls of Fire'

New from Danny Bones, this flashy pinky-red rhododendron has a perfect 'ball' truss, so it can have this name. The leaves are dark-green on a lush and full plant. There is a deciduous azalea by this name, so don't mistake this one for that. Hardy to zone 8, and you can be sure that if you plant one, at bloom time you will be singing "goodness gracious, great-balls-of-fire"

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons

·       Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.

·       Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
