R. 'Golden Topaz'

A new Singing Tree Gardens hybrid rhododendron with big light creamy yellow flower trusses with darker yellow highlights. The foliage is excellent, dark green and shiny.  The parentage is Creme Brulet x (R. campylocarpum x R. macabeanum). The seed parent has R. 'Naselle' in it, and the pollen parent has two species that have excellent traits. I have used this plant as a parent for other new hybrids with some success. I would estimate the hardiness to zone 7.  The plant will be 5-6 ft tall in 10 years and blooms in mid April.
