R. degronianum ssp. yakushimanum x R. hemsleyanum

I don't remember where we received this hybrid rhododendron from, but it is quite nice. The plant is compact, from its 'yak' parentage, and the flowers are large, from its R. hemsleyanum parent. The hardiness of yak is -15 deg F, while that of R. hemsleyanum is 0 deg F. We expect this cross can survive in zone 6b, which is -5 deg F.
