R. dalhousiae var rhabdotum
R. dalhousiae var rhabdotum
One of the most unusual of the tender species, R. dalhousiae var. rhabdotum blooms with large tubular trumpet shaped flowers, white with pink stripes on the back of each flower. The edges are frilly. We only have a few this year, but will be having more in the future as our mother plants are getting large. Quite rare, but also tender, so only hardey to 25 deg F - zones 9 and 10.
Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons
· Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.
· Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
