Pixie will be a lovely, compact, upright tree.  The new growth in spring is bright red and settles in to a deep purplish red by summer.  Pixie has a very dense growth habit and will top off at 6 feet in 10 years.  This 6 foot, upright, red maple will be a bush or a tree, whatever your vision dictates!  All of these characteristics are the makings of a fun bonsai project as well.  When you find the perfect spot for this sweet little tree....... send us a picture!  We would love to see what you do with it.
