Pinus sylvestris 'Nisbet's Gold'

I planted this Scots pine out in the garden a few years ago and then forgot about it. A few years later, in mid winter I saw it out there a glorious bright yellow-gold color contrasting nicely to the blue foliage of Blue Star Juniper nearby. This is an easy one to grow having short needles that are a medium green most of the year. The bright yellow-gold color is stronger the colder the winter temperatures.  Originating as a selected seedling in 1986 at Trompenburg Arboretum in the Netherlands. Growth is about 8-10 per year and will be taller than wide.
