Pinus sylvestris 'Hillside Creeper'

Do you have a bank to cover and want an easy to grow, low maintenance shrub? Here it is...a completely prostrate Scots pine that will cover a significant portion of real estate. The tree mostly grows in width, at least 8 feet, but up to 12 feet over time. The height rarely exceeds 1 foot, but may go to 2 ft over time.. A nice green foliage in spring and summer, then changing to bit yellow-green in winter. Chokes out weeds, and can thrive in poor soil. Found around 1070 by Layne Ziegenfuss at Hillside Nursery in Pennsylvania, USA.
