Pinus strobus 'Hopper Blue Mountain'
Pinus strobus 'Hopper Blue Mountain'
Found in Hopper Brother's nursery in Oregon, this medium growing tree has green striped blue needles, with there being more blue than green, giving the tree a 'blue' look. The Hopper Brothers nursery folks say it was selected from a batch of seedlings because of its blue color, and the full and dense growing habit. The tree grows 6 inches per year, and is taller than wide. A wonderful tree to plant behind golden forms of conifers for an eye catching display. Hardy to zone 3.
