Pinus parviflora 'Ogon'

 Creamy-yellow foliage at the ends of the branches make this a stunning form of Japanese white pine. 'Ogon' means gold in Japanese, and this tree is sometimes refered to as the Golden White Pine. However, the color is more cream than gold, which we prefer. The tree will grow to be 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide in 10 years in a plump pyramidal shape. Most branches grow in contorted shapes and naturally have a bonsai look. This cultivar would be a great one for bonsai! Hardy to zone 5. Not to be confused with the Dragon's Eye pine 'Ogon Janome'.
