Pieris japonica 'Dorothy Wycoff'

Pieris japonica 'Dorothy Wycoff'

A new semi-dwarf variety of Japanese Andromeda that grows up to 5 ft tall and 4 ft wide. The plant flowers heavily in early spring with delicate and showy chains of pink and cream bell shaped flowers. After flowering the new growth emerges a rich red color over the older dark green foliage. Likes full sun in coastal areas or partial shade in hotter climates. Native to Japan and Eastern China, and is hardy to zones 5-9. Very deer resistant, and is FRAGRANT. Yearly pruning after flowering is recommended if you want a dense, attractive plant.
