Picea glauca 'Pixie Dust'

Picea glauca 'Pixie Dust'

Originating at the Iseli nursery, Boring, Oregon, this dwarf, even miniature form of the dwarf Alberta spruce has the typical short, gray-green needles year round. Then in late summer there is a second flush of bright light yellow needles giving the effect of being 'dusted'. The little tree is similar to another Iseli introduction 'Rainbow's End', yet grows about 1/2 the rate. A 10 year old specimen may only be 1 ft to 18" tall, as it grows about 1" per year. Iseli registered this broom in 1994. Hardy to zone 3.
