Picea abies 'Catharine's Golden Heart'

Picea abies 'Catharine's Golden Heart'

Named by Bob Fincham, owner of Coenosium Gardens in Washington state after an associate's mother, this darling low and spreading Norway spruce is a winner. Bob created this unique plant by crossing Picea abies 'Gold Drift' x Picea abies 'Acrocona'. This selection is one of the best from this cross. You can see characteristics of both parents in this plant...the weeping golden foliage from 'Gold Drift', and the red cones at the branch tips from 'Acrocona'. Splendid and desirable!
