Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Red Head'

'Red Head' says it all! This perennial grass will form smoky, dark red, bottlebrush flowers resembling large foxtails in late summer. Similar to 'Karley Rose', but bushier flowers. This fabulous accent plant in the garden won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society, so you know it has to be good! This one is a great choice near ponds or streams, or in a perennial bed at the front border. Deer resistant and hardy to zone 5.
