Acer palmatum 'Oregon Sunset'

This smaller growing maple is one of our very favorites. Growing in our gardens for over 30 years, the tree is only 7 ft tall and 12 ft wide. The leaves are a soft red in spring, darkening to plum-red in summer. In the fall the tree puts on a show of sunset-red hues. A wonderful tree for the smaller garden. Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. 3' tall x 3' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -20 degrees. USDA zone 5.
