Orange Prelude

Orange Prelude

Originating from a Washington state rhododendron hybridizer, this new orange colored hybrid has promise. The flower has a calyx that is amost as big as the flower, keeping it 'flat faced'. The leaves are textured, adding interest. This cultivar usually wins at all of the rhododendron shows every year. We very few to offer this year, but will have many more coming up.

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons
·        Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.
·        Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
