Mysterious Maddenii

Powerful FRAGRANCE from huge 6" white flowers that have tints of pink and yellow. I put a large potted one of these in our rhododendron show one year and was asked to take it outside because the fragrance was too strong. I love the smell...like gardenias. The loose, open habit is perfect for use as a cascade or to train up a trellis, creating a wall of fragrance. Heat tolerant. The bark exfoliates and has a "manzanita" look...rich reds and browns and silver hues. Plant on a raised hill or above a retaining wall and let this plant create wonderful interest and scented air.
