Miscanthus sinensis 'Gold Bar'

 Famous for its distinctive horizontal yellow banding on long narrow green leaves. This unique cultivar was found as a nursery seedling produced by open pllination of Miscanthus sinensis 'Strictus'. The clump forming grass will be 4-5 ft tall by mid season, adding contrast to other colors in the landscape. In autumn, the burgundy plumes of flowers appear above the foliage, and last until winter. 'Gold Bar' will be a favorite in your garden. Hardy to zone 5.
