Kramers Rote
Kramers Rote
One of the most outstanding Erica introductions of recent times, Erica x darleyensis 'Kramer's Rote' is truly extraordinary! The clouds of magenta flowers cover this plant for a long period of time from winter into spring. The foliage has a dark bronze-green color. This cultivar was created by a deliberate cross by Kurt Kramer between Erica carnea 'Myretoun Ruby'' and Erica erigena 'Brightness', and has the flower color of 'Myretoun Ruby' with foliage similar to Erica carnea 'Vivellii'. Winner of the Award of Garden Merit trophy. The photo shows a 10 year old specimen.
