Komo Kulshan
Komo Kulshan
In cultivation since 1918, this interesting smaller growing rhododendron species appears at first glance to be an evergreen azalea, but is actually a rhododendron. The plant is semi-deciduous, so will lose some foliage in winter, but will fill in in spring about the time the flowers unfold. Most of the R. kiusianum found in the wild are white, or a very light pink. This named form is much more showy, and worth growing. Great for rock gardens. Hardy to -10 deg. F. The plant will eventually be a mound 3 ft tall and wide.
Premium Variety – This variety has proven itself over time to be a higher-grade plant with better performance, a higher degree of attractiveness, and is hard to find and purchase.
