Iris ensata 'Royal Banner'

Rich purple flowers with a yellow throat adorn this showy Japanese Iris Blooming from March through June, this one likes plenty of water, and will thrive near a pond or stream with moist soils. Hardy from zone 4 to 9, it is deer resistant, and useful for cut flowers. Growing 3 ft tall, it will spread 2-3 ft wide over time.  One of the last of the irises to bloom.
