Hotei

One of the nicest yellow flowering rhododendrons, and a parent to many of those  with rich yellow colored flowers. The plant is a bit shy flowering, but is such a nice foliage plant, it is worth the wait. Usually hard to find, but we do have a few nice specimens. For those familiar with the rhododendron 'Nancy Evans', one of its parents is this plant.

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons

·        Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.

·        Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
