Here is a new Japanese Barberry cultivar called 'Helmond Pillar' that is a wonderful plant for the rock garden, or for a container. Growing to only 4ft tall and 15" wide, the rich red-purple foliage adds a striking contrast to those areas in your plantings that need something different. The form is also unique...a vertical red column adds interest and invites comments. An added bonus are the masses of yellow flowers that appear in spring.
