Helleborus × hybridus Winter Jewels series 'Jade Tiger'

Another fabulous Helleborus hybrid by Northwest Gardens Nursery in Eugene, Oregon. Some flowers on 'Jade Tiger' have double green petals, edged in purple, while others are yellow with red spotting. Prefers to grow in partial shade where the flowers appear in late winter on sturdy stalks and last for more than a month. It is so wonderful to have dramatic colors at this time of year when little else is showing color. The plants are so easy to grow, are not bothered by deer, and are long lived. This disease and pest resistant evergreen is attractive year-round. A great addition to any garden, and will always surprise you in mid to late winter with its floral display. Does well even in poor soil, heat, humidity, cold and even drought.
