Hebe 'Champion'

When I first saw this highly textural plant in a friend's garden, it stopped me. The dark blue-green leaves are slightly cup-shaped that develop a purple hue in winter.  Like other Hebe due to the way it presents its leaves, I get the 'double vision' effect. Interesting and captivating. The spring into summer violet-purple flowers add interest and color for months. Easy to grow. Hebe is native to New Zealand and is evergreen. Responds well to pruning. Hardy to zone 7.
