Globularia cordifloia - Heart-leaved Globe Daisy

Native to the mountains of central and southern Europe, this mat-forming evergreen perennial grows 2 inches tall and about 8 inches wide. The pale lilac flowers appear in summer and are fluffy and spherical in shape. Dark green heart-shaped leaves (cordifolia) add to its beauty. Best grown in full sun and very sharp drainage like an alpine rock garden. Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Deer resistant.
