One of the first blue spruces to be named. Introduced in the 1930's by the Dutch, and still highly regarded today, Picea pungens 'Glauca Globosa' will grow into a globe shape, or can be upright, depending on pruning.  The bright powder-blue color is most intense in the spring with the new foliage.
