Genista 'Lydia Broom'

An incredibally floriferous low and mounding shrub that smothers itself in bright yellow flowers from late spring into early summer. I have seen this planted in mass and in peak bloom in late August. What a show! Native of the Balkans and western Asia, the plant is tough and thrives on neglect. Growing to 2 ft wide and 1 ft tall, there is no worries that this broom will be invasive or over spreading its place in the landscape. Hardy to zone 4.
