Fuchsia procumbens

Fuchsia procumbens

A favorite of long time fuchsia collectors, this species from New Zealand grows flat on the ground or trails off a wall. The small heart-shaped leaves are emerald green, and cover the plant densely. The flowers are yellow and purple with a unique shape like no others. Works well as a container plant, spilling over the edge of a pot, or can be used as a ground cover as well. Produces small pink fruits in the fall. Hardy to zone 8. Evergreen in warmer climates, deciduous in cooler areas. We suggest you plant this one where it can be noticed.
