Abies bornmuelleriana 'Franke'

Found by Ken Franke on his Forest Grove, Oregon Christmas tree farm. The miniature conifer was named 'Barney' but later changed to 'Franke'. This witch's broom of the Turkish fir Abies bornmuelleriana grows only 1/2 inch per year, putting it into the miniature catagory. Handsome dark-green shiny leaves are dense on this compact plant. Also known as 'Barney'.
