Fagus sylvatica 'Marmor Star'

A new variegated form of beech that has the strongest variegation on the new young leaves. ‘Marmor Star’ can have the entire leaf mottled white, making a distinctive look, but over time the variegation goes to green. Discovered in Germany in 1992 as a seedling of the cultivar ‘Marmorata’.
