Erica cinerea 'Mrs. Ford'

Erica cinerea 'Mrs. Ford'

Found by Robert Hayes in England in the 1940's, named and introduced by him. The plants grows to be 6-8 inches tall and 12-15 inches wide in 10 years. The flowers are a dark rose color, making it contrast with the dark green foliage quite nicely. Blooming occurs from July through September, and is very outstanding when in full flower. Some call the color of the flower a 'dusky red'.
