Erica arborea 'Golden Joy'

Here is a special member of the Cape Heaths, native to Southwest Europe and parts of North Africa. This erect larger growing heath is the golden form of Erica arborea var. alpina, and has very bright yellow shoots above green needle like foliage. Small white fragrant flowers appear in spring, are bell-shaped in long panicles. Hardy to -5 deg F, this plant should be in gardens where it can be grown due to its architectural qualities.
