Deep Cove

A smaller stature Cedrus deodara cultivar, growing about 6 inches per year, making a pyramidal tree 6 ft tall in 10 years. In spring the new growth emerges a bright white, weeping at the tips, making an exceptionally attractive display. The tips fade to a yellow color, contrasting nicely with the dark green older foliage. Will not burn in hot climates in full sun. Likes well drained soil with lots of organics, and is a very easy tree to grow. Seems to be hardier and slower growing than the species.
