Steel blue narrow leaves in a rounded, spiky fashion make this ornamental grass a valuable addition to any landscape. It resembles a larger Blue Fescue and is super sturdy and easy to grow. Plant with golden foliage plants for a stunning combination. Best to cut back in mid winter so the spring flush is clean and bright. In one season it will be 2 ft x 2 ft and taller when the seed heads are produced in late summer. Blue Oat Grass won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society in 1993. Long lived. Hardy to zone 4.
