Discovered at Kew gardens in England in the 1940's, this interesting cross of Magnolia sieboldii x Magnolia tripetala has pure white, upward facing flowers. On a warm day in May and June, the tree perfumes the garden with its pleasant fragrance. The foliage is large, and the tree will grow to be 20-30 feet tall and 15-20 feet wide in 10 years. Hardy to zones 5-9. Deciduous.
