Chipotle

One of our 'hot pepper' group of new hybrids that have come out of the cross 'Naselle' x 'Neon'. All of the plants in this grex have super nice foliage and peachy/orange flowers. Sizzling hot! This cultivar grows slowly to 4 ft tall x 5 ft wide. This one is probably only hardy to 20 deg F, so is not heading to any northeastern garden happily. For those in milder areas it is worth growing. Winner of the People's Choice Award in 2019 at the Eureka Chapter Rhododendron Society's flower show.

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons

·        Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.

·        Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
