Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Wells Special'

Named by the Wells Medina nursery for its exceptional qualities, this hinoki cypress is noted for its tall, narrow, rigidly columnar form and lovely emerald green evergreen foliage. Most hinoki we grow are miniature or dwarf, but this one grows larger, which many conifer growers like for that special spot in the landscape. Excellent for hedges or screening as it grows to be 10-15 ft tall and 5-7 ft wide in 10 years. Very easy to grow, and tolerant of neglect. Hardy to zone 4.
