Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Tempelhof'

One of the larger growing Hinoki cypress originating in the Netherelands in the 1960's. Registered by the American Conifer Society fro L. Konijn & Company's Tempelhof Nursery, Boskoop. The tree has the traditional 'Hinoki' look with attractive, fan-shaped dark green foliage. The form can vary from broad and squat to pyramidal, with some achieved with some annual pruning. This one will be 6-8 ft tall in 10 years, with a width the same or narrower. Bronze tinting can occur in colder climates in winter. Hardy to zone 5.
